FAQ

General Questions

  • Why choose Upland Label as my label printer?

All of us at Upland Label are committed to helping our customers fulfill their brand promise. The scope of our capabilities covers the entire product development and retail lifecycle. Our skilled craftsmen leverage their technical capabilities to produce labels with a wide range of visual effects aimed at accomplishing brand and market strategies.

  • What is digital printing?

Digital printing is a method of printing a digital image directly on a printing press. The process prints all inks at the same time using a combination of four to seven process colors. Digital printing requires less set-up and print time, making it the most cost-effective method for small orders.

  • What is flexographic printing?

Flexographic printing presses have rollers or cylinders and rubber-like printing plates that rotate through ink stations. Printing can include one to multiple color options using spot colors or four-color process printing. Flexographic presses run at faster speeds compared to digital presses and are the most cost-effective method for large press runs.

  • What kind of products do you offer?

Aside from being your source for prime, specialty and blank labels, we also provide a variety of ribbons, applicators, and printers.

Our technical experts can help match your label requirements, ribbon specifications, and printer capabilities to ensure your ribbon is the right one for your needs.

We also have several models of thermal transfer and direct thermal printers. Sizes range from hand-held to table-top versions.

To ensure everything works together, Upland Label offers two software programs for your printer or applicator.

  • Do I need to provide my own artwork?

If you have final art, great. But if you just have an idea of how you want your label to look, our experienced design team will help complete the concept. Either way, we'll make sure the art files are properly set up to meet the requirements of the printing technology.

  • Do you have an order limit?

    No.

  • How are my labels finished?

We provide labels on rolls or sheets. We can also individually shrink-wrap, bag or box a pre-determined number of labels per roll or sheet. We also provide fan-folded labels, as well as other custom finishing options.
